Recorder Day 2017
3rd and 4th graders from different Mililani public schools came to `Ike to take part in showing their recorder skills that they have learned from the beginning of the year.

Mililani 'Ike Elementary School Spirit Week (January 23-27): Theme Changes
Hi 'Ike Parents,
Our school spirit week is coming up next week form January 23, 2017 to January 27, 2017. Due to a school wide field trip, we will need to switch our Wednesday and Thursday themes.
The new schedule for the themes are (see changes in bold):
Monday 1/23 - Wacky Hair Day
Tuesday 1/24 - Wear All One Color Day
Wednesday 1/25 - Comfy Cozy Day
Thursday 1/26 - Go Green Day!
Friday 1/27 - Sports Team Day
Please be sure to go over the changes with your child.

Stranger Danger Safety Awareness
Aloha 'Ike Families,
As we start the second half of our school year, please review with your child the importance of "stranger danger" if they walk to or from school. A community member walking in the Mililani Mauka area reported to police about being approached by a stranger in a car over the weekend. As good practice, please have your child practice these safety tips:
*Always walk with a partner or in a group
*Walk to school or to home (don't stop to talk story with friends)
*Never approach a stranger in a car or go with a stranger
*Always walk in a high-visibility area
