Memorial Day Lei Collection

We collected 10 boxes of lei that will be used to decorate grave markers at Punchbowl.

Menu Change on Thurs. May 31st



There will be a menu change on the last day of school due to vendor shortage.  Instead of BBQ rib sandwich we will be having Chicken patty sandwich.

Ike Pride Assembly

Ocean Safety Video



Dear 'Ike Families,

Today, our 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students watched a video during lunch on ocean safety created by Nā Kama Kai, a non-profit organization.  (K and 2nd graders will view the video tomorrow.)  The video describes safety tips when going to the beach and how we can also take care of our ocean environment.  With the summer approaching and families visiting the beaches, water safety is very important so please review with your child what they learned today.  The group is also offering an online activity booklet as well so if you are interested please click on the link below.

Summer School 2018

Dear 'Ike Families,

The 2017-2018 school year is quickly winding down and our Summer School Enrichment Program is right around the corner. 

Just a few reminders:

*Summer School Enrichment will begin on Friday, June 8, 2018.

*No Summer School on Monday, June 11, 2018 in observance of Kamehameha Day.

*Summer room assignments and supply lists have been sent to all enrolled families.  If you did not receive your child's information, please email Steve_nakaguma@notes.k12.hi.us or call 626-2980.

*All classes are currently filled.  We are not accepting applications at this time.

*There is still plenty of room in the YMCA's before and after school care program.  We encourage families to take advantage of this service.  Please contact the Mililani YMCA at 625-1040 for more information.

We look forward to seeing all of you this summer.  Until then...please enjoy the rest of this school year.  Mahalo!

Congratulations Hawaii State Science Olympiad (HSSO) Participants!

Congratulations to this year's Hawaii State Science Olympiad participants!  Our students competed with 11 other elementary schools today at Mililani High School and placed 2nd overall in the team competition.  Our team also won the "Spirit Award" for citizenship and having the best spirit.  Thank you to all the coaches who gave up their time after school to coach their students.  Everyone medaled today and showed what 'Ike Pride is all about!   Another Happy Memory for the 2018 team.

Mililani 'Ike Elementary will be accepting Gifted and Talented Nominations for grades K-4 from Parents and Teachers from Thursday, May 10 through Thursday, May 17.  If you are interested in nominating your child, please pick up a packet of forms from the school office and submit all completed forms by the deadline, May 17, 3:45 p.m. Forms can be turned in to any office personnel: Attn: GT Coordinator, Alison Tanaka. Testing of nominated students will held in the Fall, next school year, beginning in the month of August.

Employment Opportunities At Mililani 'Ike Elementary

Dear 'Ike Families,

We are currently accepting applicants for the following positions at Mililani 'Ike Elementary:

 *Breakfast scanner from 7:00 am to 8:00 am (daily)

 *Sub Educational Assistants (Normal work hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm) - on call

 *Sub Adult Supervisors from 10:30 am to 12:15 pm -  on call

 *English Language Learner Part-Time Teacher (17 hours/week) hours vary (able to work with K-5 in reading, writing and speaking)

 *Substitute Teacher (University Degree required and must be able to take the substitute teaching course at a Adult Educational Facility)

Driver/Pedestrian Safety Awareness Sign-Waving

Hi 'Ike Families,

Thank you to all the parents and their children who came out today for our morning sign-waving to encourage driver/pedestrian safety.  Our 'Ike staff was also out in a mass show of force alongside our Wahiawa Community Policing Team, Student Council, and Campus Police Officers.  We had roughly over 50 people waving signs.  Kudos to all!

Pedestrian Sign-Waving Tomorrow

Hi 'Ike Families,

Our Student Council, Community Policing Team, Wahiawa Community Policing Team, and staff will be sign-waving tomorrow at the intersection of Lehiwa and Meheula from 7:20 am to 7:45 am.  We'll be waving signs to urge for drive and pedestrian safety.  Any parents who are interested will be required to sign in at the table in front of the office.  We have plenty of signs.
